World records were set not only by vain people who were ready to eat glass or iron, crushing it into powder, for the sake of fame.

To this day, the forgotten achievements of true masters of sports, which their contemporaries have never been able to surpass, are gathering dust in the archives of history.

An example is the record set by Georg Hackenschmidt in the century before last.

He is a Russian wrestler, weightlifter, writer and philosopher, European Champion of 1898 and medalist of the World Weightlifting Championships.

It is possible that modern strongmen who pull cars, locomotives and airplanes would be happy to try themselves in this difficult task.

However, over time, the record set by the athlete was forgotten.

Georg Hackenschmidt was recognized as the first heavyweight world champion in wrestling.

Back in 1899, he spread both arms horizontally, holding 32-kilogram weights in each.

The Russian weightlifter repeated this exercise 5 times in a row.
