Ashrita Furman once became fascinated with the contents of the Guinness Book of Records and became so inspired by the idea that he set 600 records over 40 years.
The man was not distinguished by outstanding abilities, but no one dared to break his records.
After Ashrita began to learn the basics of meditation, he realized that you don't have to be an athlete to set records.
To begin with, he tried to set a record for the number of jumps in place, during which you need to spread your legs and raise your arms above your head.
After training and meditation, Ashrita completed 27,000 of these jumps in 6 hours 45 minutes.
He then covered the longest distance with a bicycle on his chin.
He rode a bike with a bottle on his head and lit the most candles on a cake.
He jumped the furthest on a pogo stick and performed 8,341 forward somersaults in 10 hours 30 minutes, thus covering 12 miles.
And this is just a short list of Ashrit's records.
There is an opinion that his achievements have not yet been surpassed because people simply do not want to waste time on trifles.
