Pet food differs not only in names and brands of the manufacturer, but also in composition.

Pet owners should know and remember that cats and dogs have different diets and each animal needs its own unique food.

According to experts, if a dog eats cat food once or twice, nothing bad will happen.

But on a permanent basis, such a diet can cause unpleasant consequences.

What is the difference?

1. Cat food contains 1.5-2 times more protein than dog food. If you constantly feed it to your dog, liver problems cannot be avoided.

2. A cat does not really need vegetables, while a dog's diet includes vegetation.

3. Cats also need more vitamin A and E, phosphorus, iodine and, most importantly, taurine. In dogs, such a diet causes hypervitaminosis, heart problems and gastrointestinal tract problems.

4. Also, feeds differ in sodium and potassium content. Dogs need more of these elements, which again can lead to disruption of internal organs.

5. Due to the difference in the amount of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, the liver function is again disrupted.

In addition to problems with digestion, heart health and other organs and systems, cat food can cause the dog to develop an unpleasant odor from the mouth, deteriorate the condition of the coat, vision and the animal will become less active.
