What was found out?
Although only 9 animals responded to the command, it was concluded that cats understand some simple gesture commands.
Otherwise, the animal’s reaction depends on the characteristics of its upbringing and character.
It is also important to remember that cats will not respond to a command unless they see personal benefit in it.
However, cats can understand and respond to commands when they are pointed at a specific object with a palm or finger.
They perceive this same gesture as the “place” command that is given to dogs.
