Autumn, as we know, is the season of pumpkins (as well as other melons), and sometimes even cats show interest in this crop.
Let's try to figure out whether you can treat your pet with pumpkin.
The answer, oddly enough, is positive: it turns out that the vegetable acts as a source of vitamins (C and E) for cats, minerals that support the health of the animal's teeth and bones, as well as additional moisture. In addition, pumpkin has antiparasitic properties and improves appetite.
The main thing is not to offer your cat salt or other spices along with the pumpkin.
But be careful: culture cannot be included in the diet of all cats.
For example, if your pet suffers from allergies (which, by the way, manifest themselves in the form of skin rashes, itching, or gastrointestinal problems), it is better to replace this ingredient with some other one.
Another situation when pumpkin is forbidden for a cat is if it causes an eating disorder in your pet.
In addition, you should be careful with the vegetable if your cat is diabetic, as it contains a fair amount of natural sugars.
If everything is fine with your pet, in addition to pumpkin, you can offer him peeled pumpkin seeds - in small quantities and not often.
