Usually dogs are emotionally attached to all the residents of the apartment and are ready to follow their commands.
And yet, there is a maximum of one person whom the pet considers its owner.
And it is not always about the man. Sometimes dogs first of all obey the spouse or even the child of the head of the family.
It is quite easy to understand who exactly your four-legged friend perceives as the main one. To do this, you need to pay attention to the animal's behavior.
There are at least five signs that a dog has chosen a specific person as its owner.
A special look
You need to pay attention to how the dog looks at the person.
Usually the pet's gaze is directed straight into the owner's eyes. Especially at those moments when the latter gives commands to the four-legged friend.
A dog is unlikely to look away from a person it considers to be in charge.
Certain behavior after eating
A pet that has just eaten will most likely immediately head towards the person it considers its owner.
If the animal lies down at your feet, then the “suspicion” is even more confirmed.
Desire to "share" toys
The dog often brings its toys to the person to whom it is most attached.
Sleeping next to the owner
A dog is unlikely to sleep next to a person it does not consider its owner.
If a pet is used to falling asleep next to a particular family member, then the animal clearly has a sense of affection for that person.
Contagious yawning
If a person starts to yawn and the dog immediately starts to repeat after him, then this is not without reason.
If the situation repeats itself too often, then your four-legged friend has probably chosen an owner.
