It is not recommended to feed pets with scraps from the owner's table, even if they really want to.
There are prohibitions for dogs and cats. Every cat owner should know what is allowed and what can harm their pets.
The diet of home-made food for cats does not consist of only prohibitions that frighten owners. There is a fairly wide range of products that can be used for feeding without worrying about the health of your pet.
What can you feed
1. If dairy products, then low-fat and only if the cat does not have digestive problems.
2. If meat, then boiled. It can be poultry, beef or rabbit. It is advisable not just to keep it in boiling water, but to boil it, otherwise it will not be possible to destroy parasites and bacteria.
3. Some cats enjoy eating vegetables – cucumbers, for example. You can also give them carrots, cabbage, beets and greens.
4. Fish should also be boiled, without bones, no more than 2 times a week and only not river fish, otherwise kidney stones cannot be avoided.
5. Chicken eggs are also allowed, but only boiled and only yolks and once a week.
6. You can use semolina or rice porridge. To make sure the cat doesn't pick it out but eats it, it's easier to mix it with meat.
Among other things, you need to consult a specialist who will prescribe vitamins for your pet.
What you shouldn't feed
Firstly, you need to exclude fatty meats so that the liver functions normally.
Secondly, the already mentioned river fish, which is often full of parasites.
Thirdly, other leftovers from the master's table that contain salt, as well as all types of smoked meats.
And the last thing to forget is sweets.
