It happens that no matter how much you feed a cat, the pet still continues to beg as if it had not been fed for three days.
There is an explanation for everything, even for such strange behavior of domestic animals. A cat may be eternally hungry for one of the following reasons.
1. The cat is bored
Not in the sense that she is sad, but that she simply has nothing to do, and so she decides to go to the food block and start begging. Toys, activities with the owner, and so on can distract the pet from eating.
2. Wrong diet
Pets also have their own nutritional needs. Cats need a certain amount of protein, fats, and carbohydrates. If the food is of poor quality or the diet is not chosen correctly, the pet may begin to have real hunger pangs. It is better to consult a veterinarian.
3. Senile
Not in the sense that the pet has gone crazy. Most likely, certain changes are occurring in the body, due to which the cat may begin to lose muscle mass. To prevent the animal from suffering, you will have to prescribe an age-appropriate diet.
4. Treatment
If your pet has undergone a course of treatment, a side effect may appear after taking medications. Many veterinary drugs increase feelings of hunger.
5. Parasites
Often the cause of hunger is helminths. This is easy to understand if the pet eats regularly and fully, but looks thin and is constantly hungry. Contact your veterinarian, and he will prescribe the necessary tests and treatment.
