No one forbids pet owners to feed their pets food from their table, but cats and kittens then have to be treated by veterinarians.

There is an opinion that bones, sausages, fish and other delicacies from the master's table are not capable of causing harm to the animal's digestion.

Experts do not share this point of view and have long said that home-made food cannot be balanced, unlike feeds that are produced under the supervision of specialists.

At the very least, you shouldn't feed your cat food from the table because the pet will get used to it and will start to get cheeky over time. But that's in general.

Why not?

1. Pets are not allowed to eat products containing chocolate, onions and garlic, nuts and other “goodies”.

2. Cats and dogs have different digestive systems, and therefore different needs for proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

For example, a cat's body needs more protein, but less fiber and fat. If you feed it from the master's table, you can oversaturate the pet's body with carbohydrates and fats.

3. Unbalanced home-cooked food can ruin your stomach and cause problems such as flatulence, colic, etc.

What homemade food can cats eat?

You can give your pet boiled meat without fear, but only without salt.

Good cheese, a spoonful of cottage cheese or natural yogurt will not harm cats.

As for sausages, cats will not eat sausages of dubious quality. But sausages and pates, as well as all smoked products, are prohibited, as is everything salty.
