How to get rid of hiccups: it turns out many people don't even know half the ways

At first glance, hiccups are nothing to worry about. If you compare them to a headache or a blister, that's true.

But hiccups are such an irritating and exhausting phenomenon that everyone involuntarily begins to mutter spells so that the hiccups would pass from Fedot to Yakov and to someone else.

In reality, there are many ways to combat this annoying phenomenon, and many do not even realize that you do not need to hold your breath for a minute. Everything is much simpler.

Ways to combat hiccups

1. If you drink water, drink only ice-cold water and only in small sips, or simply gargle with ice-cold water.

2. If you hold your breath, then for 10 seconds after each spasm, or you can breathe into a plastic/paper bag.

There are other options - slow breathing exercises. Take a deep breath, then exhale and, holding your breath, count to five.

Or simply exhale air from your lungs until there is no more air there. It is believed that the attack can stop the stretching of the diaphragm.

3. If you do a massage, it is better to do it in the diaphragm area, and with light movements.

4. But the easiest way is to put a small piece of lemon under your tongue, although it is recommended to keep it until the hiccups stop. Or you can drop vinegar into your mouth - the acid stops the attacks.

5. The following exercise is best done away from public view: you need to take the tip of your tongue with your fingers and pull it.

Another comical way is to stick out your tongue after a deep breath and hold your breath. At the same time, you need to pinch your nose and plug your ears. Try to hold this position for 40 seconds and exhale slowly.

6. Try lying down or sitting on the floor and then standing up quickly.

7. And another interesting option, for which you need to calculate the duration of the intervals between spasms. As soon as, according to calculations, a "hiccup" should burst out of your womb, start coughing loudly or screaming. This method allows you to get rid of attacks in 3-4 approaches.
