Interestingly, if you ask different people about this, each of them will give a completely different answer.

Psychologist Elena Katsyuba told what kind of person is considered good in society.

The thing is that we all have different ideas about “goodness” because we adhere to different values and have our own psychological traumas.

All this shapes our worldview and, in particular, our concept of what is “good” and what is “bad”.

So, if we all give different definitions of what kind of person is considered good, how can we find the truth in this matter? Who can be accurately called good and who can be called bad? The question is extremely complex.

When we think about this topic, sooner or later we will come to the understanding that there are no good or bad people. There are just people. When we attribute a certain set of qualities to a person, we do so through the prism of our worldview.

That is, we ourselves subjectively assign him some assessment. And if something in this person resonates with our worldview, we classify him as a “good person”, and if something goes against our concepts – as a “bad person”.

It is also important to understand what a good deed is. Here it is necessary to know the true motivation of a person, which is almost impossible to do.

For example, a husband constantly reproaches his wife for gaining excess weight. At a superficial glance at the situation, it seems obvious that the man is doing something wrong.

But if you ask him about the reason for this behavior, you can get a completely unexpected answer: that he is thus taking care of his wife’s health, wants to live with her for many years, and being overweight has a negative impact on her health.

Or the opposite example: a passerby fed a homeless kitten on the street. It would seem that this act is clearly good. But in reality it may turn out that in this way the person decided to simply lift his spirits, doing a good deed "for the sake of it."

Moreover, he did it quickly and easily - without significant expenditure of money, effort and energy.

In order to be able to evaluate human actions, you must always know their motivation. And inventing reasons yourself is an empty and useless thing. And there is not a single person on earth who, in our opinion, would not commit an immoral act, including ourselves.

It is impossible to live your life and always display only positive qualities - if only because the line between good and bad is learned through experience. Society reacts to our every action, making it clear what is possible and what is not.

This is how we gradually become aware of cause and effect relationships and understand what should not be done.
