This time, 860 people were “guinea pigs”.
They were asked to talk about the reasons that prompted them to communicate with their exes.
Afterwards, they had to take a survey to find out whether they had those same “dark” traits.
The result is this: such people more often remained friends with their former partners for sexual and selfish reasons.
This means that their main interest is personal gain from the relationship, and they will only communicate with those exes who have “valuable resources.”
They are also aware of the weak points of their ex-significant others and will not hesitate to use this information for their own selfish purposes.
