In a couple where one partner wants to have children and the other does not, disagreements inevitably arise.
A compromise can be found if desires concern travel, choice of place of residence or other aspects of life.
However, in the case of children, there can be no compromise: you can’t agree to have a child just a little bit, just as you can’t be just a little bit pregnant.
Of course, many couples postpone having children for the future, but now we are talking about a situation where both partners have made a firm decision for themselves that they want or do not want children.
In such cases, one cannot make concessions, as this would be unfair to one of the partners.
Children are a great responsibility and at the same time a great happiness.
It's not worth putting this burden on someone who isn't ready for it, or depriving someone who dreams of having children of happiness. No one should have to make that choice.
Therefore, the only acceptable course of events is separation.
