The spicy aroma of fresh herbs and golden mustard flowers can turn any garden into a real source of benefit.

Choosing the right planting time determines the success of growing this amazing crop.

Spring planting of mustard begins immediately after the soil thaws. Young plants tolerate light frosts well, actively developing the root system in cool soil. Early sowing ensures harvesting already in early summer.

Autumn sowing of mustard allows you to get an excellent green manure to improve the soil structure. Plants have time to build up green mass before the onset of cold weather, enriching the soil with organic matter after overwintering.

Mustard prefers well-lit areas with light, fertile soil. Preliminary loosening and weed removal create optimal conditions for plant development. It is important to avoid lowlands where water stagnates.

The seeds are planted to a depth of 2-3 centimeters, keeping a distance of 25-30 centimeters between the rows. The soil is slightly compacted for better contact of the seeds with the soil. Seedlings appear in 4-7 days under favorable conditions.

Young plants require regular watering and loosening of the row spacing. Thinning of seedlings is carried out when the first true leaves appear. Top dressing with organic fertilizers enhances the growth of green mass.
