But the thing is that it’s not only tangerine peels that need to be collected in winter.

According to experienced gardeners, the peel of oranges, tangerines and even grapefruit will come in handy.

If you dry this waste, you can turn it into a complete fertilizer for cultivated plants.

This will help to replenish the lack of potassium, calcium, phosphorus and other essential elements.

How to prepare

The peel should be dried in a ventilated container in a warm place for 3-4 days at room temperature.

They can then be ground using a blender or meat grinder and stored in dry, airtight containers or bags.

How to use

1. You can simply pour boiling water over the preparation in a ratio of 1:2 and let it sit in a dark place for 24 hours.

Then strain and dilute with water in a 1:1 ratio. Use for watering, and the remaining pulp can be sent to compost or used to fight ants in the garden.

2. This same infusion can be used to water indoor plants or spray them against pests.

3. You can crush the peel and bury it in the soil – it will scare away pests.

4. To scare away aphids, pour one glass of crushed dried crusts and fill with a bucket of water.

Let it sit for 5 days, strain and spray for three days.

They say that after a single treatment with this product, thrips die.

5. Fresh citrus peels between rows will repel carrot flies.

6. And if you add two glasses of crushed bark and 300 grams of wormwood to a bucket of water and let the solution sit for 2-3 days, you can get rid of spider mites.
