Imagine opening the door to a greenhouse and seeing a jungle of cucumbers.
Green garlands hang from the ceiling, and every day you collect a bucket of crisp fruit. Sounds like a fairy tale?
But this is reality, if you know one old trick that summer residents keep quiet about. It's all about... regular milk. Yes, you heard right. Milk is not only for porridge, but also for cucumbers. But first things first.

Cucumbers are capricious creatures. They need warmth, moisture and lots of nutrition. But even with ideal care, they sometimes "go on strike". The secret is in balance.
Start with seedlings: plant seeds in separate cups to avoid damaging the roots when transplanting. When the first flowers appear, spray them with a milk solution (100 ml per liter of water).
Milk contains calcium and lactobacilli, which strengthen the plant and protect against powdery mildew.
Cucumbers also love… beer. No, not inside. Once a month, water them with a weak beer solution (1:10). Hops stimulate growth, and yeast works as a natural fertilizer.
But the main thing is not to let the vines crawl along the ground. Tie them to a trellis or net. This way the cucumbers will get more light, and you will save space.
And don't forget to harvest every day - overgrown fruits slow down the growth of new ones. After a month of such experiments, your cucumbers will turn into real workaholics!
