The perfect place for pepper
The site chosen for growing this crop must have several important characteristics.
Firstly, the place should be well lit: pepper loves sunlight.
Secondly, peppers "feel" great at elevated locations. After all, that's where the soil warms up the fastest.
Thirdly, the soil should be neither alkaline nor acidic. The reaction should be neutral: pH 6.5-7.
Fourthly, the area must be completely protected from drafts.
Fifthly, it is desirable that the pepper has suitable “predecessors”: cucumbers, zucchini, legumes, onions or garlic.
But you definitely shouldn’t plant the plant where any other member of the nightshade family (potatoes, tomatoes or eggplants) grew last year: the harvest will most likely be poor.
