If you use the right products in the spring, you will ultimately be able to harvest the highest quality currants.
The secrets of large and sweet berries were shared by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh.
How to feed currants in spring
In the spring, currant bushes need urea.
In March or April, sprinkle urea around the flora. Each bush should receive 70 grams of urea.
Next, the fertilizer must be worked into the soil: the product should be at a depth of approximately 7 centimeters.
If you do not want to use urea in dry form, then prepare a solution: 2 tablespoons of the product per 10 liters of plain water. Then you will need to water: each plant will need to receive 2 buckets of the prepared liquid.
Another effective spring fertilizer will be an infusion of cow manure (the ratio of fertilizer to water is 1:10) or bird droppings (1:20). Each plant should receive one and a half buckets of the solution.
How to feed currants in other periods
At the end of spring, you need to use superphosphate, potassium sulfate and unburned wood residues.
In the first month of summer, complex fertilizers will have a positive effect on the plant.
If you follow all the recommendations, you will be able to collect a rich and high-quality currant harvest: the size and taste of the berries will not disappoint you.
