Snails and slugs cause a lot of problems for summer residents.

So how do you get rid of them? There are a wide range of products available in stores to combat these pests.

But you don't want to use chemicals at all. What to do? In this case, you should try folk methods that work no less effectively.

Infusion of hot pepper

This is one of the most effective ways to combat not only caterpillars, but also aphids. To prepare the infusion, you will need: for 10 liters of water, take 1 kg of hot hot pepper pods or 0.5 kg of dry red hot pepper. Pour it in and let it brew for 10 days.

It is advisable to infuse in a closed enamel container. Strain, then add 40 g of laundry soap to the infusion, dissolve it and spray the plants and the soil around them.

Please note: treatment should be carried out early in the morning or late in the evening, when the sun is not so active.

You can also carry out the treatment during the day, but only if the weather is cloudy and rain is not expected in the near future. It is also important to ensure that pepper infusion does not splash into your eyes.

Mustard infusion

Pour 150 grams of mustard powder into a container and fill it with 10 liters of cold water.

Mix thoroughly and spray this solution with a regular broom onto the plants and the soil around them.

Tobacco dust infusion

Tobacco dust effectively helps fight not only snails and slugs, but also cruciferous flea beetles.

To prepare the infusion, you will need 1 kg of tobacco dust. Pour 10 liters of hot water over it and leave it for a day to infuse.

Then we filter the resulting infusion and add 40-50 grams of grated laundry soap. We dissolve it, after which we begin to treat the foliage and soil around the plants.

Please note that all the above methods are aimed specifically at scaring away snails and slugs. You won't be able to destroy them with these methods. We hope that our recommendations will help you save your harvest.
