Aphids are every gardener's nightmare.
These tiny pests suck the juices out of plants, leaving behind twisted leaves and stunted shoots.
Chemicals are effective but dangerous for the crop.
However, there is a way to get rid of aphids in 24 hours using something you would normally throw in the trash.
Banana peels contain potassium and enzymes that are deadly to aphids but safe for plants. Grind the peels of three bananas, pour a liter of water and leave for 2 days.
Strain the liquid, add a tablespoon of liquid soap (so that the solution sticks to the leaves) and spray the affected plants.
The aphids will die in a few hours, and the remains of the infusion will serve as excellent fertilizer. For prevention, place pieces of fresh peel at the base of the bushes - their smell will scare away new pests.
