Aloe will turn green and fill with juice: what to water the plant with

Watering such a rather capricious plant as aloe must be approached wisely.

This is because excess moisture causes irreparable damage to the flower.

Mistakes when watering aloe

Due to excessive amounts of liquid, the aloe root system begins to rot. This process is, unfortunately, irreversible.

The plant also signals a lack of water by its appearance. If the flower wants to drink, its leaves lose their inherent elasticity, their tips turn yellow and curl.

Proper watering of aloe

Let's start with water: warm, settled water is suitable for watering the flower. If you fill the watering can with cold liquid with chlorine straight from the tap, this will damage the roots.

Therefore, before you start watering, leave the water for a day to settle.

There are two main methods of watering: overhead and through a tray.

When watering from above, water is carefully poured onto the soil, trying not to get on the leaves to avoid rotting. Watering is stopped when the water begins to flow into the tray. The remaining liquid should be drained to avoid stagnation.

The second method involves filling the tray with water or immersing the pot in a container of water for 20-30 minutes.

This allows the roots to absorb moisture naturally.

After the specified time has passed, the pot is removed from the container with water, and the remaining water in the tray is drained.
