The best thing that gardeners can do with their own hands to improve the composition of the soil is compost.
The fertilizer is effective, free, but has only one drawback - the preparation period can take more than one month.
We will tell you what mature compost looks like and what needs to be added to make the fertilizer mature faster.

Mature compost
It is a dark-colored, loose substance with a pleasant smell.
However, adding branches and other dense organic waste slows down the composting process.
How to proceed
The first method of compost preparation is aerobic, when the fertilizer is prepared in open boxes.
It is important that air constantly reaches the fertilizer, so it must be mixed at least 2-3 times a month.
Air supply is the key to aerobic composting.
The second method is anaerobic, when compost is prepared in sealed bags or containers.
In this case, decomposition is ensured by anaerobic bacteria contained in biopreparations.
What to add
If this is an aerobic method, then you need to add old humus, which will allow the new environment to be populated with aerobic bacteria.
For the second method, biological preparations are added to sealed containers.
Once the active warming phase is complete, you can add earthworms to the compost to speed up the decomposition process.
