In September, cabbage (mid-late and late varieties) continues to grow in many suburban areas.
During this period, the garden crop needs two microelements - potassium and phosphorus. In addition, contrary to popular belief, the plant also needs a small amount of nitrogen.
Without these components, the heads of cabbage will not be strong and will not acquire a bright taste, juiciness and crunchiness.
In addition, the harvested crop is unlikely to be stored for long.
Do you want your cabbage to be juicy, sweet and have a good shelf life? And do you also want to protect the plant from pests at the final stage of cultivation?
Then generously spray the cabbage with one simple remedy, which was described by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh.
How to feed cabbage in September
The product is prepared as follows: take a large container, pour 10 liters of plain water into it and add one tablespoon of potassium monophosphate.
There is one more important additive - one tablespoon of ten percent ammonia. This component will act as a source of nitrogen.
In addition, it makes sense to pour 100 ml of nine percent vinegar. Thanks to this ingredient, the finished mixture will be not only a fertilizer, but also a remedy against pests (cabbage butterflies, white butterflies, gastropods, etc.).
Pour the prepared solution generously over the plant. The result will be a very high-quality harvest in the future.
