Cucumbers, for example, are threatened by powdery mildew. In the fight against fungus, popular wisdom recommends abandoning chemicals and using the following remedy.

Processing without harm

Powdery mildew can damage the crop or completely wipe out a cucumber bed.

In this case, there is no time for experiments, but when the plant blooms or the first ovaries appear, it is better not to use chemicals.

Folk remedies

Gardeners who stand up for ecologically clean farming are saved from the disease by the following composition.

To prepare it you will need:

  • 10 liters of water;
  • 20 drops of iodine;
  • a loaf of bread.

All ingredients should be dissolved in water, and the bread should first be crushed into crumbs.

Then the solution is stirred, left to infuse for 24 hours, and filtered before use.

The output is a concentrate that needs to be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10.

Treatment is carried out at intervals of once every 2 weeks.
