Normal fruiting of eggplants is impossible without the supply of nutrients to the soil.

In other words, this plant, like any other garden crop, needs feeding.

But in which ones exactly? This question was answered by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

The specialist emphasized that it is advisable to pay attention to the method that provides for four feedings.

Fertilizing after transplantation

The first remedy is prepared as follows: you need to dilute the manure with water (for one volume of organic matter - 10 liters of clean liquid).

To the resulting liquid you need to add two tablespoons of phosphorus flour, one and a half tablespoons of potassium magnesium sulfate and 500 grams of unburned wood residue.

You need to feed the eggplants with this product after watering: each plant should receive ¼ of a bucket.

Top dressing at the beginning of flowering

During this period, the plant needs three main microelements at once. It is worth choosing some mineral fertilizer containing nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus.

Top dressing during the period of ovary formation

When the fruits begin to set, the eggplants should be fed with potassium sulfate.

The fact is that during this period the garden crop really needs the potassium component.

Top dressing during the fruiting period

At the final stage of its development, the plant will “react” well to the ash solution.

For every bucket of clean liquid there should be half a bucket of unburned wood residue. The prepared solution is enough for two plants.

Earlier, summer residents were told when to hill up potatoes for the first time.
