How to do it
1. Remove the dry husk from the tuber.
2. Inspect the bulb. During storage, mold or other signs of disease may have appeared, the bulb may have been dented or damaged.
3. Anything that raises suspicion is removed with a sterile knife and then treated with brilliant green or wood ash.
4. Soft and dark bulbs, as well as in the presence of large-scale damage - such seed material is immediately disposed of.
5. Place the prepared bulbs upside down in a suitable container and leave in a dry and well-lit room (room temperature), but not in direct sunlight.
When to plant
Within 14-20 days the buds will swell, shoots will appear, and then at the end of April the bulb can be planted in a flower bed.
