Succinic acid as a fertilizer is often used to tidy up orchids and other ornamental plants.
It is inexpensive and is sold in gardening stores and pharmacies. But can it be used to feed peppers?
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told how to do the right thing.
Feeding peppers with succinic acid
Let's say right away that the summer resident will only benefit from such feeding.
The fact is that the product improves seed germination and acts as a growth stimulant.
The seedlings grow resistant to bad weather, diseases and pests, and the fruits ripen faster and are tastier.
How to use
To treat seeds, prepare a 0.2% solution. To spray seedlings, prepare a 0.5% solution, and to improve flowering, prepare a 1% solution of succinic acid.
For example, for a solution with a concentration of 0.2%, 20 grams of powder are taken per 10 liters of water, for 0.5% - 50 grams and 100 grams for a 1% solution.
Calculating the concentration with tablets is not very convenient, so gardeners are advised to purchase succinic acid in powder form.
