Most summer residents get upset if moles appear on their property.

And there is nothing surprising in such a reaction: insectivores do not have the best effect on the condition of the underground parts of plants.

However, experienced gardeners will find at least one advantage in the appearance of uninvited “guests” and will immediately begin collecting soil from mole holes.

Why do experienced gardeners do this? An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told about a little-known but interesting life hack.

What is good about soil from mole holes?

Moles do not have the ability to gnaw the ground. Therefore, these representatives of the insectivorous order are unlikely to appear on a site where the soil cover is extremely hard.

Most likely, the soil is characterized by sufficient looseness.

In addition, the animal will destroy many small pests found in the soil.

Thus, the soil from mole holes is distinguished by its “lightness” and purity.

This soil can be safely collected to pour into a container with seedlings or into a pot with indoor flowers.

If you want to make the collected soil more fertile, you can add unburned wood residues to it.

Earlier, the expert told what kind of fertilizers for seedlings are used in the village.
