It is safe to say that fragrant tobacco has remarkable, even exceptional properties.

And they consist, as the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained, in the ability of the plant to effectively repel caterpillars and other pests from cabbage.

But that’s not all, because the effect of tobacco extends to another, much more malicious pest of this crop – the whitefly.

Tobacco leaves secrete special sticky substances, so when a whitefly lands on such a leaf to rest, it meets its death.

In the same way, tobacco affects wind-borne aphids – they stick to its leaves and die.

And other harmful insects suffer no less: some of them do not appear at all where tobacco grows.

By the way, not only fragrant tobacco, but also makhorka and ordinary tobacco can boast of such abilities.

Therefore, summer residents, taught by life experience, sow these crops on their plots every year to make them healthier.
