Florists tend to experiment and do not always use professional additives and fertilizers when caring for indoor plants.
Often you have to save money and use folk remedies. Sometimes they work not much worse, or even better than store-bought fertilizers.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told about one interesting way of caring for flowers.
There is an opinion that some problems can be solved with the help of toothpaste, or more precisely, its solution.
As for the benefits of using fertilizer, gardeners say that:
the additive reduces soil acidity;
nourishes the soil with fluorine and calcium;
fights mold and mildew;
has a positive effect on flowering.
How to proceed
First, choose a toothpaste without a whitening effect.
Secondly, for one liter of water, take ¼ tube of paste and mix thoroughly.
Thirdly, water the flowers with this solution, but only during the period of active growth. For most crops, this is the spring-summer period.
Important! The fertilizer should not be used to feed plants that prefer to grow in an acidic environment.
Earlier we talked about a simple fertilizer for violets.
