Since onions disinfect the soil, almost any crop can be grown after them.
But there are still exceptions. What to plant after onions next year, and what not to, says the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
What to plant after onions
After onions, zucchini, eggplant, cabbage, pumpkin, beets, radishes, squash, carrots, peas, beans, and strawberries grow well.
An onion bed is also suitable for cucumbers and tomatoes, but you will need to add complex mineral fertilizers.
Related crops (leeks, chives) and bulbous flowers (daffodils, tulips, gladioli, lilies) should not be planted after onions.
It is also not recommended to plant garlic, dill, spinach, mustard, cilantro, mint, watercress and fennel after onions.
