- Holly. The berries on the bush appear in September, but birds feed on it towards the end of winter.
- Ivy. The black berries of this plant are eaten by many birds, from waxwings to blackbirds.
- Hawthorn. Red berries can remain on the bush until February or early March, feeding birds.
- Ornamental honeysuckle. This is a great plant option for a small garden, which not only feeds, but also shelters birds.
- Teasel. In autumn the plant produces a kind of seed capsule which is used by birds.
