Gooseberries, currants, honeysuckle and blueberries are welcome "guests" on any plot. However, not all berry bushes can boast such love from summer residents.
We invite you to find out which of them gardeners do not recommend growing on your property.
Sea buckthorn
Unexpectedly, isn't it? Nevertheless, such a useful plant as sea buckthorn is recommended to be kept exclusively behind a fence, and here's why.
Firstly, if you want to achieve fruiting, one bush (or tree, as you wish) will not suffice – you need at least two seedlings, a girl and a boy. And secondly, the sea buckthorn root shoots will appear more often than you will have time to fight them.
Irga
Although the fruits of this plant, which is also called Korinka or Russian raisin, are quite tasty, they do not ripen at the same time, and picking them, given the height of the bush, is not so easy.
There is another disadvantage: irga is very popular with birds, who not only eat it, but also sow it.
Chokeberry
Let's be honest - this berry can only be called edible conditionally: it is unlikely that anyone has stuffed their mouth full of chokeberries. And this ingredient gives a specific flavor to compotes, not to mention jam.
But birds, by the way, don’t think so and will happily eat the chokeberry, as well as the trees and bushes growing next to it.
