How to rejuvenate a peony bush

You can rejuvenate the peony next year from mid-August to mid-September in warm weather.

How to do it.

1. All stems are cut by two-thirds to make it easier to work with.
2. At a distance of 25 cm from the bush, dig a hole 30-40 cm deep and remove the top layer of soil.
3. Insert a garden fork under the roots and rock the bush until roots appear.
4. Place the flower on its side and clean the roots from soil using a stream of water.
5. Leave the bush in the shade for a few hours.
6. Before dividing, remove all remaining stems. Shorten thin roots to 5 cm. Do not touch thick roots.
7. Divide the bush into divisions - each should have up to 5 buds and three healthy roots.
8. Remove rotten parts and dried rhizomes, dip in a pink solution of potassium permanganate, let dry and plant.
