November is the best time to carry out moisture-charging watering in the garden.
We are talking about replenishing the water deficit in the soil under trees and shrubs.
Moreover, the soil must be moistened quite deeply: at least 0.6 meters.
If this is not done, fruit trees and berry bushes may simply not survive the winter.
But if you carry out moisture-charging irrigation correctly, then the crops will definitely not dry out and will not encounter pests. In addition, the plant roots will be protected.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh reminds: after winter watering there should be another procedure. Otherwise, the moisture supply to the soil will be ineffective.
What to do after moisture-charging irrigation
After completing this activity, the treated soil under the trees and shrubs should be covered with mulch as soon as possible.
If this is not done, the moisture will simply not be retained. In addition, the plant will lose access to useful compounds.
Compost can be used as a mulching material. Or you can use humus from manure. The thickness of the mulch layer should be 5-6 centimeters.
