Many gardeners wonder how many and what varieties of fruit trees they need to plant to have a constant harvest.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, tells us how to properly plant a garden.
How to plant a garden
To always have a harvest, when planting a garden you need to follow the 3x3x3 rule.
The first three mean that you need to plant varieties for all periods of consumption, i.e. summer, autumn, and winter.
Secondly, it is recommended to plant at least three varieties of the same ripening period. All varieties behave differently, and their harvest will be different from year to year. And so the gardener will be protected from crop failure.
Thirdly, it is advisable to plant at least three trees of the same variety. After a few years, the trees will differ from each other and bear fruit differently. In addition, the tree may become ill.
