As every smart winegrower knows, July is a very important period for this crop, associated with the beginning of berry growth.
It is for this reason that the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh advises not to sit idly by.

Firstly, now is the time when it is important to direct all the plant juices to the formation and growth of berries. This means that anyone who grows a crop on their own plot will have to start pinching out the shoots growing in the leaf axils.
To do this, arm yourself with scissors or pruning shears (whichever is more convenient) and cut the shoot above the second leaf.
Secondly, do not forget about the importance of a thorough inspection, during which it is necessary to remove those fruits that have stopped growing.
In addition, all damaged leaves and shoots must be “liquidated”.
And thirdly, I would like to remind you about the importance of watering. If you still have not decided how often and how abundantly you should moisten the soil in the vineyard, follow this simple rule: gradually pour about 15 liters of water under the grapes once a week.
And if you don’t want the moisture from the soil to evaporate too quickly, use mulch – for example, mown grass.
