It's rare that you won't see caterpillars in a cabbage patch, viciously, though silently, clicking their jaws.
It is for this reason that in stores for gardeners, preparations created to combat these creatures are in high demand.
Various folk methods are also used to combat pests that parasitize cabbage.
For example, the tops left after removing the side shoots of tomatoes are used for this purpose.
To prepare a product that would protect cabbage from caterpillars, you need to pour 4 kg of tops with 10 liters of water. If you use dried parts of plants, you only need 2 kg of tops.
Place the container on the fire and wait until its contents boil.
Boil the tops for 30 minutes, then leave the product to cool. Strain the resulting mixture and dilute with water. One part of the concentrate will require 3 parts of water.
All that remains is to add liquid soap - 50 ml of soap for every 10 liters of solution. Now the solution can be used to spray cabbage.
