Snails are considered to be one of the most unpleasant pests that can destroy your garden.

They eat leaves, flowers and fruits of plants, leaving behind traces of saliva and mucus. How to get rid of these unwanted guests?

There are several ways to combat snails.

Salt

Salt is a real poison for snails.

It causes dehydration and death of shellfish.

You can sprinkle salt in areas where you see snails or their tracks, or create salt barriers around plants you want to protect.

Be careful though: salt can damage the soil and plant roots, so don't overdo it.

Beer

Beer is another easy and cheap way to get rid of snails. It turns out that these mollusks love beer and cannot resist its smell. You can use this weakness to your advantage.

Take several plastic bottles or jars and cut them in half.

Fill them with beer and bury them in the ground so that the edge of the bottle or can is level with the soil surface.

The snails will crawl towards the beer, fall into the trap and drown. Remember to change the beer every day or two to keep it from spoiling.

These two methods will help you get rid of snails in your garden without using chemicals.

However, remember that snails are not only pests, but also useful animals that participate in the processing of organic waste and enrichment of the soil. Therefore, do not destroy all snails indiscriminately, but only those that cause you harm.
