Many gardeners believe that watering cucumbers growing in a greenhouse is no different from the frequency and volume of watering cucumbers growing in open ground.
The fact that this is not the case was stated by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
The whole point is that the temperature inside the greenhouse is higher, which is why the bushes need to be watered more often, but using smaller portions of water for this.
So, until the moment of flowering, it is enough to visit the greenhouse with a watering can once a day in sunny weather. 3-5 liters of water are enough for 1 square meter.
As the plants grow, increase the frequency and volume of watering if necessary.
If it is cool and cloudy outside, this means that the greenhouse does not heat up as much, which means that watering should be done less often.
Please note: in addition to watering, cucumber beds, like other plants, need to be loosened and mulched - this way a crust does not form on the soil surface.
After you notice the first ovaries and also during harvesting, you should water the cucumbers once every 2-3 days. In this case, 10-14 liters of water will be needed per 1 "square".
From mid-August until the end of the season, it is necessary to maintain a gap of 1-2 weeks between waterings. At the same time, the volume of water used for each watering should not change.
