There are several important nuances that you should pay attention to.

Many people grow not only vegetables and fruits in their garden, but also allocate space for flowers.

Some gardeners do not simply sow ornamental plants with the thought “whatever will be will be”, but approach this matter responsibly, trying to grow something very beautiful and eye-catching.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh advised flower growers on how to create a flower bed of their dreams.

There are several rules. First, the number of flowers should not exceed three. For example, you can plant plants with red, yellow and blue buds.

Secondly, as in the case of vegetables, you can choose ideal "neighbors" here. This way they will not compete for space and resources and prevent each other from developing properly.

For example, the popular marigolds can be combined with a number of ornamental plants. They are planted with the following flowers:

  • cineraria;
  • begonia;
  • kochia;
  • coleus;
  • petunia;
  • ageratum;
  • asters;
  • lobelia;
  • sage.

Low-growing annuals, dwarf dahlias, violas, and ornamental cabbage go well with marigolds.

If you plant marigolds not in a flowerbed, but in a container, it is better to combine them with ampelous species:

  • calibrachoa;
  • surfinia;
  • alyssum;
  • bacopa.

With this approach, the front garden will turn into a branch of the royal garden.
