Harvest pruning of raspberries according to Sobolev: what gardeners still don’t know

It is advisable to carry out the first pruning at the beginning of June, when the young shoot has grown to 70-100 cm.

The top is pinched by 10-15 cm so that all the forces are directed to the lateral shoots.

But it is important not to delay the procedure, otherwise the bush simply will not have time to develop normally before the onset of cold weather.

The second pruning is needed next spring. As soon as the leaves bloom, it is advisable to cut the tops by 10 cm.

With simple manipulation, simple varieties can soon acquire the properties of remontant ones.

But it is important to remember that the method will only work if other growing rules are followed.

For example, you can't allow the plantings to become too dense, as this will only lead to a deterioration in the quality of the berries. The bushes should be at least two meters apart.

In addition, it is important to water, treat and feed the plants on time.
