When growing cabbage, many gardeners clearly overdo it with some types of fertilizers.

“The more fertilizers, the better the harvest”... Unfortunately, this rule does not always “work”.

Sometimes an abundance of nutrients and microelements can cause serious harm to a garden crop.

There is a fertilizer, even a small excess of which can cause a loss of the cabbage harvest.

What fertilizer are we talking about?

When growing a plant, do not add too much nitrogen fertilizer to the soil.

Yes, cabbage needs nitrogen. However, when using such fertilizers, the gardener should be very careful.

Ammonium fertilizers pose a particular danger to garden crops.

If you overdo it with them, the plant will become much more vulnerable to many diseases.

The harvest will be possible. But it is unlikely to be as abundant as it could have been with more careful application of fertilizers.

In addition, cabbage grown in soil with an abundance of nitrogen is unlikely to be stored for long. The vegetable will spoil quite quickly.
