Fertilizing will ensure a large harvest that will be stored longer.
June is an important month for gardeners who grow garlic. This is the month when the harvest is decided.
In June, garlic produces shoots, and heads form underground: the fruits fill with pulp, and cloves form.
To ensure that the harvest is larger and stored longer, you need to apply fertilizer in June.
How to fertilize garlic
At the beginning of summer, the vegetable needs two key macroelements – potassium and sulfur.
These minerals contain potassium sulfate (potassium sulfate), which is suitable for all types of soil in open and closed ground, in indoor and balcony gardening.
Garlic fertilizer is prepared as follows: 30 g is diluted in 10 liters of water. After mixing, the plants are watered at the root - 1 liter per head.
Nitrogen fertilizers are not as relevant at the beginning of summer as in spring. Excess of this macroelement can lead to the formation of loose pulp, which quickly spoils.
