To collect 2-3 kg from the garden every day, it is necessary to properly care for the plantings during the flowering period.
Caring for strawberries
Caring for the bushes plays an important role in growing strawberries. Thus, experienced gardeners regularly remove weeds and loosen the soil.
Special attention is paid to the whiskers. They are removed so that the plant does not waste resources on them. After pruning, the strawberry will redirect its energy to the formation of berries.
Top dressing
During the flowering period, strawberries need to be fed to increase the harvest. An infusion of nettle is prepared for the bushes.
1. Pour 10 liters of water over a kilogram of chopped grass, cover with a lid and leave for 2 weeks at a temperature of about +25 °C.
2. Stir the infusion periodically. When the foam on the surface disappears, the remedy is ready.
3. In this case, every 500 ml of infusion is diluted with 10 liters of water, 500 g of ash is added, mixed and the strawberries are watered at the roots.
There is a faster option for feeding strawberries during flowering. In a bucket of water, dilute 1 tbsp. of organic fertilizer "Yagodka" and 1 tsp. of potassium sulfate. Water the plants at the roots with the resulting solution.
