If you water strawberries with such water, the harvest will be lost: a common mistake of summer residents

The second half of May and the very beginning of summer is the time when strawberries bloom.

During this period, proper watering of the plant is of great importance.

Even the most insignificant, at first glance, mistake can cause a sharp decrease in crop yields. And sometimes even a complete loss of the harvest.

It is clear that you need to remember about the correct frequency of the procedure and the appropriate volume of water.

Another important point is the temperature of the liquid used.

What kind of water should not be used to water strawberries

Watering garden strawberries with cold water is a big mistake.

In other words, you can't use liquid from a well. You can't use tap water that you just took either.

The result of such actions may be the emergence of serious vulnerability of the plant to diseases.

But using settled water is an ideal option. Such liquid does not contain dangerous impurities and has a normal temperature.

Other recommendations

During flowering, strawberries should be watered twice a week (during hot periods) or once every two weeks (if it is rainy and not hot).

It is necessary to use approximately 20 liters of liquid per 1 m2 of area.

It is advisable to carry out the procedure in the morning or in the evening. Daytime watering will be pointless at best. And at worst, it will lead to serious damage to the plant (or rather its leaves).
