Many summer residents complain that garden tools become rusty very quickly.
Usually gardeners believe that the problem is in the low quality of materials from which shovels, scissors, pruning shears, hoes, rakes and pitchforks are made.
And yet, in most cases, the owner of the suburban area is to blame.
Most likely, the person simply stores the tools incorrectly, which is why they rust.
To avoid or delay the onset of the corrosion process, you should avoid storing garden tools in certain places, reports TUT NEWS .
Where tools should not be stored
Shovels, garden shears and other equipment intended for work on a country plot should never be left in the following places:
- near the porch;
- near the compost bin;
- in the garden bed.
Dirt and high humidity will cause rust to appear on your tools.
In addition, over time, the equipment will become less sharp and less durable: it will be impossible to use it normally.
Tools should be stored in a specially designated block, closed from other areas. This room should be clean and dry.
