An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh believes that it is preferable to use mineral compounds for spruce trees rather than organic ones.
Of the organic fertilizers, the only one allowed is vermicompost, which makes the needles more saturated and bright and, in addition, strengthens the plant’s immunity.
If we talk about “mineral water”, it is worth noting that the most important element for coniferous plants is magnesium, which can be provided to the spruce using dolomite flour.
In second place in importance is potassium, which is especially needed by plants in the spring, during the active growth of shoots.
In addition, the nutritional composition should include iron, sulfur and phosphorus.
To make up for the deficit, use superphosphate – gardeners love this fertilizer, including because it is convenient to use.
Finally, let us remind you about nitrogen – from mid-summer onwards, you should stop using it.
