Every gardener dreams of improving the fertile properties of the soil in the garden. And this is a completely normal phenomenon.
In order to increase the yield of fruit and vegetable crops, it is not necessary to carry a dump truck of black soil. Every summer resident has all the necessary means for this in his garden.
And you don’t even have to buy anything for this.
After winter, you need to think about how to restore or maintain the fertile soil layer.
The thing is that some of the nutrients are washed out with the melt water. And if the winter was snowless, then cold winds will not improve the soil either.
To do this, it is enough to add mature compost.
To prepare it, we use mown grass (without seeds), kitchen waste, and also the tops of cultivated plants.
The finished fertilizer should be added to the soil before transplanting the seedlings. That is, when the beds are being prepared.
There is one more important point. The compost must be rotted, otherwise such an additive will bring nothing but harm.
A fertilizer is considered ready if all microbiological processes have taken place in it for 2-3 years.
