Cucumbers Growing Irregularly? Here's What's Missing in the Soil If the Fruit Looks Like a Pear

Irregularly shaped fruits on cucumber bushes almost certainly indicate a lack of nutrients and microelements in the soil.

At least, this is the main reason why cucumbers grow crooked or start to resemble a pear/carrot in their outline.

If green vegetables are similar in shape to root vegetables, then there is clearly little nitrogen in the soil.

But if the cucumber has become similar to the fruit of a fruit tree, then the problem is a potassium deficiency.

What needs to be added to the soil

If the fruits of cucumber bushes remain narrow at the base and at the same time become too wide at the bottom, then the problem is insufficient amounts of potassium fertilizers have been applied.

In this case, ash will come to the rescue.

It is the unburned wood residues that are the source of all the compounds necessary to “level out” the cucumbers.

If the ash component ends up in the soil in time, the fruits can still be saved.

If you don’t have time, the cucumbers will still look like pears.

However, this will not affect the taste of the vegetable. Most likely, the fruits will remain juicy and tasty.

True, the cucumbers will not have the most pleasant appearance.
